Micropulsed diode laser effective for diabetic retinopathy.

The article reports on the effectiveness of micropulsed diode laser therapy in treating diabetic retinopathy. A study conducted by Dominic McHugh and fellows with patients suffering from untreated diabetic macular edema as subjects revealed that micropulsed grid macular therapy is capable of treating eye disease. McHugh adds that the study revealed that the approach results in less-marked morphologic effects on the retinal pigmented epithelium with compared with standard pulse exposures.
