Abstract
- The article reports on the improvement of complementary metal oxide demodulators (CMOS) image sensors through modern analog-to-digital converters (ADC). Image sensors are required to capture frames quickly enough for high-definition video which prompts designers to weigh the benefits of ADC architectures and make trade-offs in speed and size. It is noted that the layers of a CMOS sensor can be taken apart with the use of imaging and software-based circuitry extraction and schematic organization.
