Abstract

The author criticizes the proposals of 641 U.S. mayors on how much money they should get from the economic stimulus bill of President-elect Barack Obama. The mayors agreed to provide $37 million to Edwardsville, Alabama on building an electric solar enhanced railroad line but did not mentioned health care. In North Miami, Florida, it suggests $2 million for the changing incandescent bulbs to compact fluorescent bulbs. Sunnyville, California seeks $8,378,750 for the replacement of high-pressure sodium street lights with light-emitting diodes (LEDs).
