Hybrid moulds: effect of the moulding blocks on the morphology and dimensional properties.

The article presents a research paper which examines the influence of materials used in moulding blocks of hybrid moulds on injection moulding, and the dimensional properties of moulding. The study uses hybrid moulds with exchangeable moulding blocks for the production of polypropylene tubular mouldings. Result show that the processing in injection moulding and plastic parts properties were varied because of moulding block properties produced from rapid prototyping and tooling techniques (RPT).
