Abstract
- The article discusses Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, which is working on several programs to increase enrollment caused by the economic crisis. Total enrollment for the year 2008 decreased by almost five percent. In addition to enrollment, the college hopes to help with the city's economic and political challenges such as the resignation of Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick. The school's efforts to increase enrollment of community college transfer students are discussed.
