Abstract
- The article reports on the approval of ProStrakan Group's granisetron transdermal system by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Marketed under the name Sancuso, it is the first patch to provide up to 5 consecutive days of nausea and vomiting control for patients receiving a moderately or highly nausea-inducing chemotherapy regimen. The drug was approved for the prevention of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV).
