Raman lasers in silicon photonic wires: unidirectional ring lasing versus Fabry-Perot lasing.

Integrated-optical silicon Raman lasers based on a ring cavity can potentially operate unidirectionally owing to the strong non-reciprocity of the Raman gain in submicron photonic wires.
