Abstract
- The game was modeled on ''Jeopardy!,'' with a blue screen listing the categories: Architecture, Gangsters, Arts and Culture. The answers included familiar names, like Emma Goldman (Who was the anarchist founder of the Mother Earth journal?), and the slightly more obscure, like Giuseppe Masseria (During Prohibition, which boss of bosses lived at 80 Second Avenue?). East Village Trivia Night, at the Bowery Poetry Club, drew an esoteric crowd of self-taught historians and pro bono tour guides, propped on folding chairs jotting answers -- er, questions -- on scraps of paper. Each answer was labeled $100 to $500 to indicate the level of difficulty, though no actual money changed hands. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
