Abstract
- The article reports that the prohibited use of eye drops during religious fasting periods could compromise glaucoma care. In a survey conducted, majority of patients who are Hindus, Muslims, and Jains state that the use of eye drops would break their fast. By this, physician Nishant Kumar states that there is a need for ophthalmologists to acquire a broad awareness regarding their patients' religious beliefs to allow them to formulate management plans without compromising care.
