Abstract

Ciguatera intoxication occurs with the ingest fish that have been contaminated with the dinoflagellatte Gambierdiscus toxicus, the clinical signs are characterized by acute onset with the gastrointestinal, neurological and cardiovascular symptoms. There is a history in the Baja California peninsula of an outbreak and the present in Caribbean and the risk for the possibility of intoxication is latent. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
