Abstract
- The article discusses the research study on the machaeridian marine Palaeozoic fossils in the lower Silurian of Shropshire, England. Considerations on the characteristics and classification of the said fossil is given, along with the description of the localities where the fossil is situated and the geology of it. The results showed that, among others, the varieties of machaeridians in the Purple Shales implies the importance of small invertebrates in the Telychian marine ecology.
