Japanese Competitive Edge Gets Lost in Translation.

The article reports on the performance of Asian currencies against one another as of December 2008. In local currency terms, shares of Korea-based Samsung Electronics declined only 13% while stock of Japanese rival Toshiba fell more than 61%. Moreover, South Korea's won dropped 29% against the new Taiwan dollar which indicates that memory-chip makers in Korea have a similar edge over their Taiwanese competitors.
