Abstract

The article focuses on a study which suggested that adjuvant chemotherapy should not be considered the standard of care in stage Ib non-small cell lung cancer. In this study, researchers randomly assigned patients to adjuvant chemotherapy or observation four to eight weeks following tumor resection. Chemotherapy consisted of intravenous (IV) paclitaxel and carboplatin.
