Abstract

The article focuses on the ontological deflationism in Madhyamaka Buddhism. It states that the main principle of Madhyamaka Buddhism is that all things are empty of essence, which particularly does not exist completely independent but simply in relation to other phenomena to the rule of people. It notes that Mãdyamika thinkers believe that ontology will lead to an assertion of the common sense world and to greater compassion and ethical engagement with other people.
