Abstract: This review of the literature published in 2007 deals with the issues related to the presence of pesticides and herbicides in the environment, mainly in soil, sediment, surface water, and groundwater. The review is divided into nine sections, including analytical methods, toxicology, monitoring, ecology, fate and transport, modeling, risk assessment, management and minimization, and treatment.
