Abstract

The article offers information about the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge in Willows, California, as a bird watching site. It is a 11,000-acre waterfowl sanctuary in the Sacramento Valley. The sanctuary is a flat area of marsh and tules with hundreds of thousands of ducks and geese. The white goose population is often more than 40,000, while the duck density is several times greater.
