Abstract

The article reports that while U.S. House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank is planning to release a bill to provide a $25 billion bridge loan that would place restrictions on the Big Three automakers, several lawmakers are still tooling their own bills to bail out the auto industry. Frank's bill will prohibit dividends and ban bonuses for any employee who makes more than $200,000 annually and will establish an oversight board to veto company decisions.
