Abstract

The article reports that several chief executives of corporations hurt severely by ongoing financial volatility reaped over $100 million apiece in compensation during the five years leading up to the crisis. Lloyd C. Blankfein of Goldman Sachs received over $130 million, and Angelo R. Mozilo of Countrywide Financial was paid in excess of $470 million.
