Abstract
- The article focuses on the water environment research paper titled "Characteristics of Highway Stormwater Runoff," by Y. Han, S. Lau, M. Kayhanian, and M. K. Stenstrom. The paper examined a large amount of highway stormwater runoff from different traffic sites in Los Angeles, California. It mentioned that pavement degradation is one of the main cause of pollutants in highway stormwater runoff wherein pavement type affect the stormwater's pH, alkalinity, and organic and inorganic solids. It also showed the difference between chlorine and chloride through water analysis.
