Studies needed of vectors spreading leaf roll disease in California vineyards.

The article reports on the needed research on containing the spreading of leafroll disease in vineyards in California. The need for research on leafroll disease is in response to the result of a mapping of leafroll distribution in a Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard in Napa County which documented an increase in infection rate of about 10% per year over five years. It is recommended that research should focus on grapevine leafroll viruses and understanding leafroll transmission.
