Tipificación de las formas de intercambio de servicios de salud: UN ESTUDIO EXPLORATORIO DEL RÉGIMEN CONTRIBUTIVO EN BOGOTÁ.

The aim of this article is to study the limits and the relations between insurers and providers of health services in the contribution-based health care system in Bogotá, as well as to link the ways in which the exchange of health services is set up with the results perceived by providers. The research is rooted theoretically in transaction cost economics. Seventeen (17) health service providers were included in the empirical component of the study. We have found three basic forms of economic exchange: Market cooperation, hierarchical market, and potential cooperation.
