Abstract

The article discusses the differences between the open clusters M52 and NGC 7789 in the constellation Cassiopeia. The M52 shines at a magnitude of 6.9 and contains almost 200 blue-white suns. The majority of the stars of NGC 7789 are said to be very faint and their collective light is spread over a sky area that is almost twice the diameter of M52. The stars Rho Cassiopeiae and Sigma Cassiopeiae which frame NGC 7789 are described, citing particularly their color and magnitude.
