Abstract
- The article discusses factors in faculty recruiting at community colleges. The author suggests that job qualifications such as minimum credits and the proper academic degree for the position can aid search committees in culling candidates for a position. He suggests candidates should have prior teaching experience and that teaching quality based on teaching experience and previous college employment is also a key factor in employment. He notes that applicant cover letters often focus on the candidate's thesis or dissertations rather than job experience.
