Abstract
- The article discusses "sushi bullies," men who brook no dissent on any matter related to sushi. Chef Noboru Inoue in San Francisco has scolded diners for using soy sauce. Chef Kazunori Nozawa in Studio City, California has ejected patrons from his restaurant for taking too long to eat, or asking to use a cell phone. Sushi bullies tend to be traditionalists, and they almost universally despise the California roll.
