Abstract
- The article examines the political conditions of Tibet, China. As defined by the Chinese annexation in 1951, it is argued that the country deserves to be independent. The issue is not at all easy since one state's recognition does not lead to automatic recognition by every other state. Moreover, it is a most satisfying state of affair to the Chinese government as far as the Tibet issue is concerned. China is confident in the ground reality that the politics of recognition remains on its side.
