Abstract
- The article discusses signs of improving conditions in credit markets. On October 14, 2008 interest rates on commercial paper and corporate bond yields both declined. The cost of insuring debt issued by Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. fell dramatically. Kathleen Shanley of Gimme Credit notes that although U.S. government intervention in the financial industry has helped, credit markets still remain wary.
