Small but Mighty: The Impact of Local Government Performance on Support for Democracy.

Recent scholarship makes the case that local governments, specifically their policy performance, have a significant impact on democratic regime support (Hiskey and Seligson 2003; Smith 2005). However, this research has been limited to single country analysis.
