Knee joint has many functions such as carrying the whole body weight, keeping balance and walking. As knee joint can be frequently exposed to traumas, it is very important to know the morphological features of this joint. For this reason, we have reviewed the literature related with the morphological specifications of the knee joint in this study. We hope that this study would be beneficial to the physicians in diagnosis and treatment of the pathologies of this region.
