Abstract
- The article discusses health and safety considerations when buying prescription safety eyewear. A thorough health and safety audit and risk assessment should highlight the major sources of potential risk to workers' vision. All safety eyewear issued in Great Britain must conform to EN 166:2002, which comprises different levels of impact resistance. It is also important that health and safety managers have a system in place to provide eyecare for staff.
