Abstract
- Activity coefficients at infinite dilution were measured for eight alkanols (methanol, ethanol, 1-propanol, 2-propanol, 1-butanol, 2-butanol, 2-methyl-1-propanol, and 2-methyl-2-propanol) in the three ionic liquids 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([bmim][PF 6]), 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium methyl sulfate ([bmim][CH 3SO 4]), and 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl) amide ([hmim][Tf 2N]) between (293.15 and 353.15) K using the dilutor technique. The results are presented and, as far as possible, compared with literature data. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
