IMEC, Plextronics team for organic solar cell inks, materials.

The article reports on the collaboration of Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre (IMEC) and Plextronics Inc. to develop a reproducible process for organic solar cells using Plexcore materials and inks. These materials from Plextronics have shown efficiencies as high as 5.9%. As part of the deal, IMEC will investigate Plexcore OS polymer. Director Jef Poortmans says that IMEC expects that the partnership will help accelerate its development of an industrial large-area process.
