Abstract

The article discusses the use of the specific luminescence properties of phosphorescent transition metal complexes to monitor intramolecular vibrational redistribution (IVR) and cooling. The IVR manifests itself as a photoluminescence decay. The addition of dendrons to the phosphorescent core opens up new channels for the dissipation of vibrational energy.
