Abstract

The article presents a study that evaluates the cost-effectiveness of surgical compared to nonoperative treatment for intervertebral disc herniation (IDH). It is said that there is a lack of information available to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of surgery in nonoperative care among patients with lumbar IDH. It is cited that the cost of surgery for IDH varied according to the method used.
