Abstract
- This article focuses on the use of the term mouse-hunt, as condemnation of misguided scholarship compounded by laziness and hypocrisy. It is based on the Mustela nivalis, the Least or European common weasel that is a hunter that can alter the ecology of the region. It notes that Caxton and Milton use the term "mouse-hunt" first and last respectively.
