Reference ranges for uterine artery mean pulsatility index at 11-4 1 weeks of gestation.

The article presents a study which demonstrated a new mean uterine artery pulsatility index (UtA-PI) charts derived from a cross-sectional study in a population of 620 women between 11 and 41 weeks of gestation. The authors note that these gestational age-based reference ranges for the uterine artery may be clinically useful to screen for pre-eclampsia and to evaluate patients with pregnancy-induced hypertension and/or small-for-gestational age fetuses.
