Abstract
- The article examines if a specific asthma phenotype exists for obese persons. It includes an in-depth analysis of the association between obesity and the increased prevalence of asthma especially in women. Research findings show that under the same symptoms perception, obese persons with asthma have poorer asthma control compared to their non-obese asthmatic counterparts.
