Abstract

The article reports that suppliers for the Boeing 787 are closer to making complete airframe shipments. Presently, all of the aircraft in Building 40-26 at Boeing's Everett, Washington wide-body headquarters are for the flight-test program. The static and fatigue airframes have been moved to their test stands. The first flight airplane, ZA001, has passed the power-on test of its electrical systems and is undergoing specific systems tests. For the 787, Boeing wants wings and fuselages shipped to Everett with hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems.
