Abstract

The article provides information on the concept of the design of high-brightness light emitting diodes (HBLED). It states that HBLEDs are more efficient and longer lifespan since these hysteretic controllers are inexpensive and require no compensation networks. These controllers have pulse-width-modulator (PWM) input that enables a train of varying duty cycle to provide the dimming function of HBLEDs. In connection, a circuit board showing the hysteretic controllers, the five high-brightness light emitting diodes (LED) and triangle wave is also presented in the article
