The article describes the self-assembly of T-shaped ternary block molecules to obtain liquid crystalline (LC) phases, representing an array of trapezodial cylinders. According to the authors, a LC phase is obtained in polyphilic molecules based on a polygonal tiling pattern. They note that in the trapezoidal phase, not all walls of the polygonal nanocylinders are made of the same material.
