Mind-Body Causation, Mind-Body Union and the 'Special Mode of Thinking' in Descartes.

The article discusses the investigation on the relationship of Rene Descartes' mind-body causation, mind-body union and the special mode of thinking. It examines Descartes' claims to which the author refers as the Special Cognition Doctrine, the No-Problem Doctrine and the Union -Dependence Doctrine. It also explicates the nature of body-to-mind causation in Descartes' philosophical system. It presents the subdivision of the paper into five subtopics to anatomize the philosophy of Descartes on the union of mind and body.
