Abstract

The article presents an analysis of a survey made in leading countries for research and development such as the U.S., Japan, Germany, Great Britain and France regarding scientist-journalist interactions. According to the article, the frequency of contact with journalist depends on the leadership functions, research productivity and personal attitude of the scientist. In authors view, the norm of the scientific community delays the possible interactions of journalists with the scientists. The survey shows that out of 1354 scientists, 57% are satisfied with their interaction with the media. Furthermore, more than half of the respondents are scientifically productive and have leadership roles.
