Abstract
- This article focuses on excavation efforts at North Lodge, Barnwell in Northamptonshire, England which is funded by the Royal Archaeological Institute in 1986. It removed the limestone surface interpreted as a paved track leading north from the eastern end of the building to expose earlier gullies and beam slots. A rectangular gully was found in area D which has indications of being a robber trench. There were two dicthes at the southern end of the area. A series of post-holes, a shallow ditch and the remains of an insubstantial wall which seemed to encompass enclosure adjacent to the building were discovered in area e.
