Abstract
- The article reports on the support of Yulia Timoshenko Bloc on a law signed by Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko which expands the power of the head of state in his dealings with the government. The faction's support of the bill is considered illogical since it strips the prime minister of several key levers of influence. The law allows the president to reject a candidate for prime minister submitted to him for confirmation.
