Abstract
- The article reports that the government of Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh survived a vote of no confidence, triggered in part by a deal on nuclear-power technology that Singh arranged with the government of U.S. President George W. Bush. That deal must be approved by the U.S. Congress before taking effect. A vote in Congress could be delayed until 2009, though.
