Abstract
- The article focuses on a study published in the May 2008 issue of "British Journal of Sports Medicine" which found that supraspinatus tendinopathy is the major cause of shoulder pain in elite swimmers. Eight young elite swimmers served as subjects in this study. Shoulder pain were reported by majority of the swimmers. There is a correlation between the impingement sign and the diagnosis.
