Abstract
- The article states that land-rich colleges are taking advantage of new ways to develop their holdings through corporate partnerships. The author states that under these partnerships colleges usually retain the long-term ownership of their real estate while private investors build or operate a facility on the property. The author explains that this generates revenue for the college as well as the investor. The article also discusses privatized student housing, commercial development, and retirement communities.
