Abstract: This section offers news briefs on issues related to avionics. Great Britain and Ireland will begin operating a new functional airspace block (FAB) by mid-July 2008 to improve the capacity of British and Irish airspace. Flight Deck Resources Inc. has a novel electronic flight bag (EFB) system in development that will be able to serve as either a Class 1 or Class 2 system. The second phase of 4D trajectory arrival demonstrations will begin at the Arlanda airport in Stockholm, Sweden.
