Abstract
- The author comments on the travel policy of InBev NV in comparison with that of Anheuser-Busch Cos. as the two companies battle for investors. He asserts that cost-cutting is a major issue in InBev's $46.4 billion bid for Anheuser. He cites that InBev's travel policy calls for economy class for flights of six or fewer hours. He notes that the policy is popular for zero-base budgeting, in which managers must justify every expense anew every year, in contrast with Anheuser, which owns or leases a fleet of corporate aircraft.
