Web Searching for Information About Physicians.

The authors offer commentary concerning how the Internet has changed patients' expectations of physicians. Issues involving patients who demand a non-medical relationship and press for information about their caregiver are discussed. The amount of personal information about physicians that is easily assessable to patients via the Internet is examined. Differing views regarding the management of personal information on the Internet by older and younger generations of doctors are weighted.
