Abstract
- The article deals with the impact of the increasing prices of diesel fuel in the U.S. A strong global demand for distillate fuel, coupled with high prices for crude oil, has sent the national average price of on-road diesel moving up 68% higher than the beginning of June 2007, according to the Energy Information Administration. The high prices also are being pushed by a lack of options. Arne Ruud of Guy F. Atkinson Construction LLC, comments on the impact of high diesel prices on contractors in the construction industry.
